dans le noir estates is located just south of conway, south carolina. wanting to stay close to the beach. it was a challenge to find a fitting piece of land, but with miles of searching, our 165 acre property was chosen, at a steep cost. as our main focus is race horses, it was necessary for a mile dirt training track, along with five barns, one each for the stallions, broods, current racers, young stock as well as a
quarantine barn.
the stallion barn can comfortable hold up to 25 horses each in their own 17'x17' stall. the
brood barn can house up to 30 horses with the stalls being 18'x18'. the plans for the home
of the race horses was first designed to house 25 horses, but later expanded for 40 horses
each in 17'x17' stalls. the quarantine barn has 12 stalls, each 15'x15'. all barns are
equip with concrete aisle ways, as well as rubber matted stalls. each stall is plush with
straw, holding an automatic waterer with a feed bucket and mounted hay rack. the windows
are secure with bars on the outside. sufficient lighting as well as heat and air
conditioning are installed.
when designing living quarters, it was taking into consideration as to how much spaces was
needed and for how many people. the main house was designed with 4,160 sq ft of living space. the large kitchen is attached to the dinning room, all furnished in dark cherry wood and black appliances. the great room has cathedral ceilings with three sky lights. the master suit is located on the second floor with and attached master bathroom. it has a double walk-in closet for his and hers. three large bedrooms are located on the third floor with a bathroom large enough for a stand-up shower and a jacuzzi bath tube as well as double sinks.
the farm manager living quarters is located on the south end of the property for easy access to the barns. It is has two bedrooms with one and a half baths. The kitchen and dinning room are large enough for 6 people. this 1,800 sq ft house can comfortable house a small
family.
